Aircraft Engine Maintenance and Overhaul Under One Roof

Hale Aircraft is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station in Hampton, Georgia, and for more than three decades our work has centred on turbine engines. Aircraft engine maintenance is not a sideline here. It is the whole business, and the depth that comes from working the same engines every day is what operators are buying when they send an engine to us.

We handle the full maintenance life of the engines we support. Scheduled and routine care, diagnostics and inspection when something needs investigating, component repair, and complete overhaul when an engine reaches the end of its interval. Because non-destructive testing, machining, and welding are all done in house, a component is not sitting in transit waiting on an outside vendor schedule.

The Only JT15D Test Cell in the Southeast

The part of our shop that operators most often cannot find elsewhere is the test cell. Hale Aircraft operates the only Pratt & Whitney JT15D test cell in the Southeastern United States, which means a JT15D can be run and its performance verified on the ground before it goes back on the aircraft rather than after.

That changes the risk profile of an overhaul. Instead of discovering a problem on a test flight, the engine is proven under load in a controlled environment, with data to show for it.

The Engines We Support

Our core specialization is the Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D, and we support it end to end through JT15D engine services covering overhaul, repair, hot section inspection, borescope inspection, diagnostics, and routine maintenance.

We have also extended the same process discipline to the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, the most widely operated turboprop in general aviation. Our PT6A engine services include hot section inspections performed on-wing where the engine and the findings allow it, along with PT6A engine repair.

Alongside engine work we supply parts and engines, maintain a current engine inventory, and offer non-destructive testing, welding, and machining as standalone services.
